Good Afternoon All, After our officer's meeting on Monday 8/31/09, we have decided to go with passing out candy and eggrolls as a way to show our multicultural-ness. If anyone wants to dress up in traditional clothes, we would be very appreciative. As stated in the minutes from the meeting, ROBERT AND MENG will be making the new member questionnaire, TONY and HLI will be making the poster board and banner. TERI and JACKIE will be bringing candy to pass out. Houa also mentioned that the club fair will start at 10 am-1pm. We are looking for volunteers to hang around the booth so we can all inform the students, faculty and visitors about our club. This is also a time to recruit new members. So please try to invite all of your friends or family that are in any of your classes to join the club. It is imperative that we recruit new members so we can easily gain more funds from SGB for our end of the semester head count. This also goes along with networking and being able to get out of our comfort zones and talking to people we don't know. Another reminder, our meeting dates are from Tuesdays 12-1. (is this correct?!) We are waiting for a room to schedule this with. Houa will be getting back to me on this. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me, Robert, Hli or Houa ASAP.

ATTENDANCE: Terilyn, Robert, Meng Lee, Tony Lee, Houa Lee(advisor), Por Shoua Xiong, Nyia Thao, Koua Thao AGENDA: - Houa brought to our attention that SGB has a new constitution that SGB Reps need to read. If there is no SGB Rep, any of the officers can read this.
- SGB will be having elections for their officers. (more dates to come)
- We don't need to attendance forms for SGB anymore, Officers decided to do it for our club's purpose.
- OFFICERS--- if we need to submit invoices, please note that all checks are now being processed on Tuesdays only. We also need to deposit checks and donations as soon as we get them due to bad checks.
- SGB has also okay'ed spending $50 or less for club meetings. This can be for Pizza lunches, sub sandwiches.
- The club has as of 8/31/09 $1542.38 in the account.
SGB REP MEETING TOMORROW HSC 2014 AT NOON!!NTC Club Fair is Thursday 8/3/09 from 12-1 pm. We will have our table set up. The poster board will be done by Hli and Tony. The flier/sign up sheet will be completed by Robert and Meng. Jackie and Teri will be supplying candies and basket. We will also be passing out eggrolls as appetizers to attract new members. Hli will be talking to IGA and Robert will be talking to Lee Store. I will be writing up a letter (attached to email) so Hli and Robert can give to the prospective donors. HLI--ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRINT OUT THE LETTER AND SIGN AND GIVE TO IGA. **It would be great if people could come and help pass out the candy and inform new members!**
